My Abel and Cole order came this morning and as I still can't get my head around the fact that Duncan likes to sample everything in sight, I carelessly left the box sitting out on the sofa.
It turns out Duncan likes raw fennel, and here's proof:
Last night I caught him as he took a bite of wood out of the corner of a bookcase. Yes, he ate it. I'm not sure what's worse from a cat point-of-view: fennel or wood. I would opt for the latter, but it is of course very possible I am missing a magically nutritious supplement in my attempts to avoid wood in my day-to-day food preparation and eating habits.

I think my cat has unusual tastes (bread, cake, tofu), but she's never tried fennel. Their teeth really aren't made for vegetables are they!

I don't think Duncan cares much what his teeth were made for so long as whatever is edible ends up somehow in his stomach 🙂

My kitty was also attracted to the fennel I brought home in a bag and climbed into the bag to chew on it.
She followed me when I took it away from her and tried to grab it back. She also likes to chomp on paper, cardboard and books!

Ha! One of mine ran into the bedroom the other night, took a bite out of an envelope on the floor, and ran out of the room again...

How funny we had gone shopping and left the fennel on the counter and our cat absolutely loves it
