The things my cats eat!
Dillan enjoying a cavolo nero stem:
You wouldn't think a cat would enjoy this sort of thing, but I often find my two gnawing on random vegetables I've dropped on the floor or which are sticking out of the side of the bin. They both get pretty territorial over kale stems in particular!

is kale good for cats?

Good question... I doubt it is, but I'd be interested in some professional insight on that one!

Kale is healthy, from all the Googgling I have done to find out. 😀

I planted some dwarf blue kale indoors, along with the flowers. I also planted wheat grass seeds, specifically for my 1 yr old cat. I planted the Kale for myself to toss in a salad. They are in the sunny window where my cat spends a lot of time. I noticed she prefers to nibble on the small Dwarf blue kale vs Wheat grass. Wheat grass she tends to like swatting it in the breeze, vs eating it. I decided I better find out if Kale is safe for her, before poisoning her. There is advice on both sides; so who knows whether her nibbling on Kale is harmful to my cat. Any advice is worth taking into account.

Mine mainly eat it when they steal it, which isn't often since I usually remember to keep the kitchen door shut (and even then it's usually going into the bin to steal stems!). I really need to plant some more cat grass though because they love it.
