Bookmark this page, which I will continue to update frequently with newly provided menus and markets as they are announced in the run up to the 2025 Jay Festival. My updating of this page will cease near the beginning of the festival because I will need to dedicate my time to other research.
This is an ongoing collection of menus, gathered from various social media and Thai press releases, for the 2025 Thailand Vegetarian Festival, with an emphasis on Bangkok. I can't vouch for the businesses or their menus, but I wanted to provide a resource for readers who don't speak nor read Thai who are planning to attend the 2025 Bangkok Vegetarian Festival. It's not a comprehensive list by any means, nor are any mentions an endorsement.
Each year restaurants, including national chains and independent businesses, begin sharing their Vegetarian Festival menus a few weeks before the start of that year's dates. This year the festival runs from October 21st-29th, but special menus and events often run for a few days before and after the official dates.
As with every year, the number one place to visit is Yaowarat Road in Chinatown, where the street will be lined with many stalls offering a variety of vegan food and drinks. You can check out my 2024 Bangkok Vegetarian Festival roundup for some of my favourite vendors along this street. The 2025 dates for the Bangkok Chinatown Vegetarian Festival along Yaowarat are October 20-29.
I'll update as new menus become available.
Vegan restaurants with special Jay Festival menus
May Veggie Home has been cooking up vegan grub in Bangkok for many years. Chef May has some new dishes for the festival in 2025, including fried rice with crab, noodles with shredded chicken, fish maw stew, and more.
The chains
Menus for the festival are often not made available until the immediate lead up to the festival, sometimes just days prior to the start. In previous years these chains, some of which are prolific across Bangkok, have put on special menus for the festival.
- 7-Eleven Thailand. They always have great options, including a series of instant noodles only available during the festival. This year's new flavour is curry. They also have heaps of microwave meals staff will heat for you.
- Sizzler
- Swensen's
- Zen, a Japanese restaurant, have a nice looking jay menu.

Bowcake, with small bakery outlets in several locations, has a few jay items (clearly labeled on the list with a yellow sticker and red เจ text). Chocolate and orange cakes, plus filled sweet potato and pumpkin buns.
Origami Borderless Cuisine, on Sukhumvit Soi 24, has a special menu from October 18-29. I'm extremely intrigued by the vegan nam prik ong shepherd's pie.
Cafe Amazon is a national cafe chain with branches all over the place. They also have non dairy milks for all your iced beverages.
Ohkajhu is running a special jay menu from October 10-31, to include items such as spaghetti with red curry and fruit (pineapple, Asian pear, and apple), khao soi with purple sweet potato, fried tofu, veggie wraps, tofu and mushroom salad, whole grain rice salad with shiitake mushrooms, soft tofu with seaweed and avocado, tempura, and more.
Crumbs bakery has some jay bakery goods on offer from October 15-31. These include: shio pan, black sesame milk buns, soft rolls with red bean filling, english muffins, english muffins with red bean, and plain soft rolls.

On The Table always has vegan options on their regular vegetarian menu, but they offer additional specials during the festival. In 2025 these include tofu and black bean fried rice, some very beautiful looking fresh tofu spring rolls, and spaghetti with mixed mushrooms.
It's a big chain with loads of locations.

Kanori Hand Roll Bar have partnered with vegan business Plantiful to create this new menu, available during October 2025 only.
Kanori has a few locations in central Bangkok, many of which are along Sukhumvit.
Plearn Pooong, with several central locations, is offering a series of set menus during the festival.
The advertised menu is as follows:
- SET 1 : Rice with pad gaprow (holy basil stir fry) + chrysanthamum drink + grass jelly with brown sugar
- SET 2 : Rice with orange chicken + chrysanthamum drink + grass jelly with brown sugar
- Pad mee sua (wheat noodle stir fry) + fried spring rolls + chrysanthamum drink + grass jelly with brown sugar
Hua Seng Hong Dim Sum, with a few locations across the capital, has a packed steamed bun menu as well as 3 single-plate dishes. The latter includes fish maw stew, pad gaprow, and rice noodles stir fried with water mimosa.
Bao options include mushroom, vegetable, black sesame, roasted red pork, Chinese date, taro with gingko nut, red bean, and purple sweet potato.
The supermarkets
Supermarkets, especially those in upscale shopping centres and/or with bakeries, are excellent spots for scoring vegan bites during the festival.
- Gourmet Market, especially larger branches in malls like Siam Paragon and EmQuartier, have a great selection of single serving baked goods to choose from. Also pillowy, doughly breads that would often contain nonvegan products outside of the festival. There's a sweet corn bun made in a Japanese style that i have my eye on this year.
- Tops Market always has plenty of goodies, including bakery items. Everything is usually clearly marked with stickers indicating เจ.
- Supermarkets such as Foodland also have some jay options, and are cheaper than the above two. I usually buy bulk packs of jay festival special instant noodles to take home as a souvenir from Foodland.
- Big C has made their Jay Festival catalogue live. Notice it also include dishes and cookware (many festival participants keep their kitchenware separate for jay-only foods).
- MaxValu always has a few Jay Festival options, mainly grocery goods.
The independents, hotels, etc...
Both ANJU Korean Rooftop Bar and Bangkok '78, two restaurants located in Sindhorn Midtown Hotel put out a announced special menus for this year's festival. There's no menu as of writing, but Bangkok '78 is a Thai restaurant and they've said dishes will include sesame fried mushrooms with plum sauce, tofu laap, mushroom chilli pasta, panang tofu curry, and more. Anju states they will serve a range of authentic Korean dishes such as tteokbokki, pajeon, kimbap, cold soba with perilla oil, and more.
The Glass House Restaurant at Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn announced a Jay Festival buffet that will run from October 21-29 from 12:00-14:30. They will served a selection of Thai, Chinese, and Japanese vegan foods, as well as some other international dishes like pasta.

Dishes include tofu palo (a five spice stew), bamboo and wood ear mushroom soup stewed in a coconut, vegan pig's ear stir fried with Chinese yam, kung pao tao and mushrooms, clay pot aubergine, and more.
The Walfdorf Astoria states in a press release they will offer a special menu from October 20-29 to include items like a salad of flowers with crispy pork and panang curry made with klong gnae tofu (it's a very special style of tofu). Lunch is from 11:30-14:30 PM and dinner from 17:30-21:30.
Hei Yin เฮยยิน, located in Gaysorn Centre, features Hong Kong style Cantonese cuisine. In 2025 they're offering a jay menu with 8 types of dim sum, 8 mains, and 1 dessert from October 21-29. Standout items mentioned in their press release include vegan abalone dumplings, fish har gow, Peking duck, Dongpo pork, stuffed morel mushrooms, and mixed berries with osmanthus. Were I in Bangkok I would prioritise this.
Fei Ya เฟยยา Cantonese restaurant, on the third floor inside the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel, issued a press release (click this link to see some photos) about their Jay Festival menu, which will be available from 21-29 October. Lunch is from 11:30-15:30 and dinner from 18:00-22:30. Menu items will include tofu stir fried with shiitake mushroom and Sichuan pickled vegetables, gourd stir fried with wood ear mushrooms and goji berries, slow cooked aubergine with fermented soybean sauce, and tofu seaweed soup. IGNIV Bangkok, a fine dining restaurant, announced a special jay festival menu in addition to its regular veg menu, in a press release. The 18 course menu is vegetable focussed but not especially Thai in nature.
Ginger restauraunt at the Holiday Inn in Bangkok put out a press release stating their lunchtime buffet, Friday and Saturday dinnertime buffets that will include salads, finger foods, and mains. They haven't posted a menu, nor have they stated if they entire buffet will be vegan (I doubt it), but dishes will rotate daily. Some dishes they've mentioned include tofu lap, green curry, and fried corn fritters.
Fresh Me is a bubble tea chain with a few vegan options, but their festival special this is a blended ice soy milk bevvie with boba.
Kanom Wai Jao, on the small passageway that is Soi Yaowarat 6 in Chinatown, is offering a menu of various takeaway goods like pickles and seasoned pounded shiitake mushroom stems in addition to snacks and sweets like steamed breads, cakes and more. This is an excellent soi for finding vegan foods, especially during the festival.
Chon Som, on the first Floor of Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, will have a vegetarian festival menu. They're vague about what will be offered but the photos looks nice.
Claypot King has been one of my favourite options in Bangkok for the last couple of years. It lacks the crispy cooked rice crust of a good clay pot, but the menu is always comprehensive and the flavours are comfort heaven.
All they've provided for the moment is this photo along with a notification of their jay menu from October 21-29.
Grand China Bangkok is offering a special jay menu. They state the highlights of the menu, which is avalable from October 21-29, are:

According to their Instagram account, Tem Bao เต็มเปา has 5 locations around Bangkok, including Ying Charoen Market, Soi Ari 5, Food Villa Ratchaphruek, Or Tor Kor Market, and at T. House on the Rama 6 Rd.
The menu is limited, and salapao (bao) is one of the more common jay food items during the festival, but Tem Bao does a baked Hong Kong style bun.
Their menu for the festival includes roasted red pork and duck with shiitake mushroom.
Jay festival markets
Many malls host temporary food festivals, including for the vegetarian festival. Additionally, there are lots of pop up jay festival market spaces across the city. Here are just a few.
Happyland Center in Bang Kapi is hosting a food and culture festival from October 20-29, from 09:00-21:00 in the event space on the first floor, to include cultural activities and more than 100 jay dishes. Some items mentioned in the press release include rad na, curries, fermented fish relish, kanom jeen, Thai salads, fried tofu, duck noodles, and Thai sweets.
StarvingTime is a big name in the Bangkok social media food world. Stepping outside of reviews, they also host events. Visit their Amazing J Festival, now in its third year, on the campus of Chulalongkorn University, on trendy Soi Chulalongkorn 5. It's not comparable to, say, Chinatown, but it's got a lovely vibe and it's a cool spot to hang out in the evening.
Icon Siam states many restaurants in the mall will participate with vegan menus, some of which are listed in the instagram slides to the side of this text, from October 20-29. In previous years they've also had a jay market on the ground floor, so perhaps they will again.
Ying Charoen Market, near Saphan Mai BTS, is planning a Jay Festival market, but there aren't many details aside from the fact that it's happening.
Sun Plaza Market, near Chatuchak, is planning a large jay festival market. This post of theirs is only an ad, asking for vendor applications, which gives you an idea of how last minute (as of posting this, we're only around two weeks out from the start of the festival) and how quickly these things are put together.

Ying Charoen Market, near Don Muang Airport, advertises more than 40 shops with over 100 different jay friendly dishes. October 20-29
